New Pictures from the Moneyglass Set

Yesterday, rumors and tweets were flying that Sophie Turner was spotted in Moneyglass, a small village in County Antrim, where Game of Thrones is reportedly filming parts of Season 6. But for those who might have feared that Sansa and Theon would be spending their time sloshing through snow next season, or worse, going back inside Winterfell and hiding from Bolton all Bran and Rickon style, it looks like we might have some good news. According to Belfast Live, there’s an elaborate set that is going up in the area, and they’re saying it’s perhaps a new location.

Belfast Live hedges that this could be a part of Winterfell instead of a new castle. (Moneyglass is where Winterfell was rebuilt last year.)

The area where the set is being built is marked private property. That house you see on the left looks to be the same one to the far right of the castle they’re building in the photo below, so it’s just hidden from the road.

If it is brand new set, the closest place I can think of to Winterfell that Sansa and Theon might be able to get to in the snow is Castle Cerwyn. (Ravens that Catelyn gets are always from Castle Cerwyn once Winterfell falls, for instance. Ser Rodrik Cassel is also stationed there, if I recall correctly.) If the North really remembers, and stays loyal, this might be Sansa’s best hope.

The set looks to be a decent sized castle too, even if those cows in the foreground look very bored by all the human activity.
