Even though filming in Girona doesn’t officially start for another two weeks from today, residents of the Spanish city are going to start feeling the show’s presence as soon as next week. Local outlets El Punt Avui and Diari de Girona are reporting that road closures in the Old Town area of the city will begin as soon as Monday morning, August 24th.

Both outlets name the specific road closures as being King Ferdinand Street “which runs from the square to the rise of King Martí, facing the church of St. Luke” and “parking located in Bellaire -the platform River Galligants.” This area is just a couple of blocks south from Sant Pere de Galligants. This area will remain closed for the week, until August 29th, so that preproduction can prep in the area.

Both outlets state that there will be more road closures in the weeks to come, announced as we get closer to the dates. Some of the affected areas to come will include:

Sant Pere de Galligants, les escales de la catedral, el carrer del Bisbe Cartañà dels jardins de la Francesa a la plaça dels Apòstols, el carrer de Sant Llorenç dins l’àmbit del call jueu i també el carrer Claveria.

(Translated: “Sant Pere de Galligants the steps of the cathedral, Bishop Cartañà Street, the Francesa Gardens, The Apostles Square, San Lorenzo Street, the Jewish Quarter and Claveria Street.”)
