Winter Reportedly Arrives In Saintfield for Game of Thrones Season 6

Filming in Saintfield keeps getting bigger as we roll into week seven. Reports yesterday stated that, after four weeks of filming a massive battle, winter has finally decided to roll in. The question, of course, is whether wights will be involved. And if they’re only up to filming this part of the battle, how many more weeks do they have to go?

Smoke and snow eh? Sounds like an entrance I’ve seen before….

More proof that this may be the battle to top the Massacre at Hardhome:

Anyone who has ever done events knows that fog juice has a very particular sweet smell, not unlike burnt fruit. (It’s also very different for dry ice fog.) Industrial strength fog machines would leave a very particular scent, and probably quite a large whiff of it.

So after the pics of a certain presumed-dead character got out, the production is apparently not taking any chances with the rest of the surprises for this battle. (Can you blame them? You’d beef up security too if it happened to you.)

Not that it hasn’t stopped some intrepid Instgrammers from trying to get something… (BEWARE SPOILERS)

Though the cat is basically out of the bag, the actor playing that presumed-dead character is still trying to keep something of a low profile, and not take pics with fans. But that backfired yesterday, when he apparently made the mistake of turning down a picture with footballer Victor Anichebe, who took to twitter in a snit.

Welp.

Sorry dude. Totally alive.
