The Best of COUB: Game of Thrones Edition

As you may have noticed, during Game of Thrones Season 5, for our weekly GIF recap we turned to the amazing folks over at COUB who toiled tirelessly throughout the season, to make sure those GIFs were published and ready for our consumption, very early in the week. Since the Season 5 finale, we’ve not had many chances to go back and grab many GIFs from COUB, but today I thought we’d do some digging and find the best COUB GIFs to help get you through this Halloween weekend…so sit back and enjoy.

We start with what has quickly become one of my all-time favorite COUB GIFs. How do you make what some fans would call the best episode in Game of Thrones history — Season 5, Episode 8 “Hardhome” — better? Why, add Benny Hill music, that’s how.

Did you ever doubt that Sean Bean dies in everything that he does?

How about a little Star Wars/Game of Thrones mashup? What makes Stannis more badass? Lightsabers of course…oh, and “Duel of the Fates.”

Somehow, I don’t think Drogon’s entrance would have been the same, had he announced his presence this way.
