HBO Now available now through Xbox consoles

HBO Now, HBO’s standalone subscription service, is now available through your Xbox consoles, just in time for the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 6! Specifically, it’s now available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Each console should have received an update allowing users to download the HBO Now app just in time for Sunday’s Season 6 premiere. This app joins a formidable lineup of viewing options that includes iOS Apple products including Apple TV, Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire Tablets, Roku and other streaming sticks, Samsung smart TV’s, and of course a good old-fashioned laptop.
Coupled with HBO Now’s free 30-day trial, there is literally no excuse for you not to watch the first four episodes of the acclaimed worldwide phenomenon along with your friends and family. You don’t want to have to wear earplugs around the office every Monday, do you? Of course not. Season 6 promises to be the biggest and boldest yet, as both book-readers and show-watchers journey into completely new territory.
After the free trial, HBO Now carries a fee of $14.95 per month, or if you are only subscribing for Game of Thrones, think of it as paying just $3.75 per episode. That’s less than four dollars a week to watch our favorite characters battle to win the Iron Throne before they all get wiped out by the White Walkers.
And if you only want to see the premiere, HBO is making access to its programming free this weekend. It’s doing everything it can to get you to tune in.
