Take the Black Podcast—Episode 606—”Blood of My Blood”

Let the wild rumpus start! Your favorite merry gaggle of mischief-makers from Take the Black podcast are back for another week of discussing everything Game of Thrones. This time, we tackle Episode 606, “Blood of My Blood.” Isis is off this week, but we welcome a special guest in her place: the Editor-in-Chief of WiCnet, Dan Selcke.

“Blood of My Blood” took a breather from all the murder and mayhem that’s been happening lately. However, that doesn’t mean there weren’t plenty of topics to discuss, such as:

• Bran’s visions basically allowed him a front row seat to every event on Game of Thrones…past, present, and future.
• Coldhands showed up and wrecked the wights with his magical fire flail, which was freaking amazing.
• Oh, and Coldhands is Benjen, made by the same process the Children of the Forest used to make the Night’s King.
• Arya took in more of that play, and went rogue when she refused to assassinate her target, Lady Crane.
• Sexy Jesus was sad about it, but the Waif seemed all too pleased with the chance to inflict pain and death on No One Arya.
• In King’s Landing, the High Sparrow outmaneuvered two of the greatest houses in Westeros, much to the chagrin of Jaime and Lady Olenna.
• Tommen might as well rename himself Tommen the Blessed, First of his Name, Gelatinous of Spine, Ascended of Testicles, and King of abstinence.
• Walder Frey is still alive and as mean and curmudgeonly as ever…but hey, so is Edmure Tully!
• Dany took a ride on Drogon, who is now super huge, and then gave a rousing speech.

Our raucous band of hooligans break all this and more down on this week’s episode of Take the Black. As usual, Take the Black leans a tad bit on the NSFW side (beware the F-bombs). We also try to keep things as Unsullied-friendly as possible (Cory hasn’t read the books), but a couple of spoilers slip out, so beware.
