Trailer for Game of Thrones Episode 608: “No One”

HBO has put out the trailer for next week’s episode of Game of Thrones, with the very Arya storyline-centric title of “No One.”

If you haven’t seen “The Broken Man” yet, or have but don’t want to know what’s coming next, cease reading, because here there be SPOILERS.

As of this writing, there is still no official press release for next week’s episode, so we don’t have a synopsis. HBO used to get pretty press release-happy around mid-afternoon the Monday after episodes aired, so perhaps we’ll have one by the time we post my usual full scale breakdown of the trailer at 6pm EST.

But until we can get to that, here’s some observations about the trailer:

  • It’s time for Cersei to choose violence.
  • So does Brienne make a deal with Jaime that countermands her orders from Sansa? Or does she tell the Blackfish to surrender so he can go join Sansa in the North? She’s in a tight spot. She should have just gone on a date with Tormund instead.
  • Are we getting the full on siege of Riverun a week before what we assume will be the Battle of Winterfell in Episode 9?
  • Meanwhile, Arya’s running for her wicked life. That’s a hell of a short clip for someone who the episode is supposedly named after.
  • The Hound is putting that axe of his to good use.
  • Tyrion looks damn startled by something.
  • And Cersei’s trial looks like it’s going to be on the order of several different levels of fun and games. I’m betting Olenna is going to be sad she got out of town rather than staying to see the show.
