Trailer for “No One” hints at death for a long-running character

In the trailer for “No One,” the next episode of Game of Thrones Season 6, we see a long-awaited scene between the Faith Militant, led by Brother Lancel, and Cersei Lannister, with the Mountain looming large behind her. “Order you man to step aside or there will be violence,” Lancel says. “I choose violence,” Cersei replies. And it’s on.

According to Redditor lmolari, the trailer may have said more than HBO meant it to. Look at the Mountain’s breastplate in the shot below. You can clearly see that his plate is clean and unscarred.

Later in the trailer, there’s another shot of Cersei walking up to the Iron Throne, the Mountain and Qyburn behind her. Take a look at the Mountain’s breastplate now.

It’s dented. Who do we know has a weapon that could make those exact puncture marks on the Mountain’s armor? Well…

The implication here (which, to be fair, would be pretty obvious even without a photo breakdown), is that the Mountain will tear the Faith Militant up after Cersei chooses violence. Might Lancel be among his victims? We know that Cersei has no love for her cousin. Her only concern at this point is for her son, Tommen. Lancel and his zealots are standing in her way, and if Lancel swings that four-pronged weapon at the Mountain, there’s no way he doesn’t die horribly.

In fact, it the above GIF is any indication, it looks like every man there might die horribly, and we will finally see the Mountain loose that undead rage on someone other than a random drunk.

With only three episodes remaining, characters are going to start to die, and who better to kick things off than members of the Faith Militant?
