Bran Stark Featured Game of Thrones Hodor Media Season 6

Watch a clip from the Game of Thrones Season 6 special features: “Bran’s Journey”

It’s barely been a month since the final hour of Game of Thrones Season 6 aired on HBO, but all 10 episodes, plus an array of special features, will be available to download in just a couple of days. Game of Thrones: The Complete Sixth Season drops on August 1 on platforms like iTunes, Vudu, Amazon Video, Google Play, and Flixter (links will take you to pages where you can place preorders).

Here’re the special features that’ll come with the purchase of a Digital HD download:

  • Bran’s Journey – A nine-minute feature delving into the shocking and revelatory journey Bran Stark took in Season 6.
  • The Dothraki World – Behind-the-Scenes featurette bringing viewers up to speed on the Dothraki culture, not seen since Season 1.
  • Inside Game of Thrones: Prosthetics – Behind-the-Scenes featurette detailing what goes into the show’s prosthetics creation.
  • The Game Revealed – Five-part series covering the creation of Season 6’s most epic set pieces and scenes.

The Wall Street Journal has a snippet from “Bran’s Journey,” in which director Jack Bender and actors Isaac Hempstead Wright and Krisitan Nairn talk about Hodor’s final moments. Have a watch.

According to Wright, Hodor was “a totally normal kid who was then screwed over by Bran.” That’s gotta hurt.

Incidentally, The Game Revealed is also available to watch on the web. The Blu-ray and DVD releases of Game of Thrones Season 6, which will feature yet more special features, will be out on November 15.

  • i cant wait to see it. I cant wait to see how he shows Jon what he knows. I really hope its as moving as the reveal of Hodors storyline. Awsome!

  • Isaac doesn’t get nearly as much recognition as he deserves… hope to see him given more to do next season other than being the background fixture in other characters scenes. Excited for this feature.

  • I am still and will forever be stunned and in complete jaw dropping emotionally in awe of ” The Door” episode. It’s due to the fact Hodor said so little and we knew so little about his character. The show runners never made a big deal over Hodor or made him out to be some hidden secret. Which in my opinion made ” The Door” episode the most shocking in all the seasons so far.

So many fans had just really been invested in Bran and Hodor’s relationship, it became a running joke. The moment you realized, (Holy Shit!) Bran is responsible for Hodor becoming Hodor. The emotional fantasy mind screw it does to you, is just not anything you can explain.

My initial second thought after learning how Hodor became Hodor was ….. Is Bran responsible for everything? Why would he be? How could he be? Who the hell is Bran Really ? And WTF? LoL… OK that’s more than one thought but seriously WTF to all those questions!

I keep thinking, Bran is the cause of everything. As the rumor theory goes, Bran has some time traveling abilities. I get the feeling as rumors have suggested, that every Bran throughout the history of Westeros is the very same Bran Stark. I can’t help but think… Bran has just been traveling through past, present, and future self trying to undo mistakes and chaos he created.

Eventually, Bran will come full circle but in what way and at what cost? How will he…and why will he? I have no clue but I’m sure it’s about to be revealed very soon. Until then I’ll keep wearing my tinfoil hat and ” Hold The Door” right up until the very end.

7 Hells give us some answers D&D!!! LoL
