Fans already starting to make Game of Thrones Season 7 trailers

Before there will be a Season 7, there will be a Season 7 trailer. And while we, the faithful, wait through the long night of filming for the upcoming season, fans are speculating about what that trailer will look like.
The latest entry in the Season 7 trailer derby has been making the rounds for a few weeks now. That’s partly because of how well made it is, even if it occasionally pulls from much earlier seasons. But I have some quibbles with it.
Honestly, if I had to say this was a trailer for anything, I would say it was for Season 8. The idea of Jon And Dany facing down the Night’s King together is clearly end game material. But from all the spoilers we’ve seen so far, getting the two of them together in a alliance of ice and fire will not happen as quickly as we might like. There’s still Cersei in the way, there’s Euron Greyjoy off doing whatever crazy Greyjoy stuff Eurons do, there are still extraneous characters (and major ones) that someone will have to kill off, because every season is filled with that sort of thing now.
Still, even if the footage of Dany walking through the Wall is from Season 2, the idea of that gives me chills. Personally, I have always assumed that the Wall is not a sight Dany will ever see, at least not the standing version. The Night King coming through the Wall will most likely turn it to rubble long before she passes King’s Landing and heads north to meet him (probably around the Winterfell-ish area, no?) But there is something to be said for the idea of Dany arriving at Castle Black to defend humanity’s last stronghold. If nothing else, Edd’s face when he saw a dragon would be priceless.
And naturally, people have been making fan-made posters, as well.
It’s all aboard the hype train.
