Season 7 SPOILERS: A surprising duo turn up in Seville

Game of Thrones

It’s ridiculous how many Game of Thrones cast members are in Seville right now. It would be easier to list who isn’t on hand…if you don’t want to know the latest amazing cast crossover we have set for King’s Landing, you better turn back now. Why’d you come here looking anyway?

Why’d you come in here lookin’ for that

Sansa you're spoiling it spoilers

Yesterday we rounded up evidence of several new actors in the area, including the likes of Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), Nicolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), and many more.

But there were others we didn’t expect. Pilou Asbaek (Euron Grejoy), for instance. And there was a rumor that Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor Clegane) would be filming alongside Anton Lesser (Qyburn). Though we don’t have visual evidence of Lesser, we did see Björnsson this morning:

But it gets better. Hold on to your tinfoil, kids. because…. RORY MCCANN (THE HOUND) IS ALSO IN SEVILLE.

CLEGANBOWL CONFIRMED PEOPLE. IT’S ALLLLLLL HAPPPPPENNING!

**runs about screaming and muppet flailing**

Maybe. Just because McCann and Björnsson are both in town doesn’t mean that the brothers Clegane are necessarily going to rumble. Seville could be used for multiple locations. Still…

Other actors spotted? Daniel Portman (Podrick Payne) and Jerome Flynn (Bronn)!

Thank heavens for comic relief. Maybe Flynn will sing?

Meanwhile, it seems like the Lannisters will definitely have their army at the ready. Could it be an ambush?

And here’s a great shot of the Dragonpit from overhead:

And that’s all for this morning so far. If anyone needs me, I’ll be having a lay down from the excitement.

  • Did we not already have a Clegane Bowl in season one? If my mind serves me well, I thought The Hound stepped in to keep The Mountain from killing The Knight of the Flowers? I don’t get the fuss. I’d rather see Brienne finish off The Hound and take on The Mountain zombie. The badass women will rise! Although, since he’s already dead, I am not sure how The Mountain/Ser Gregor Clegane will go down. Fire maybe?

The big question for Season 7 is will Cersei’s hair ever grow? LOL

    • yes! and the first one was wonderful! when the Hound kills Cersei, the Mountain will also die as he only lives through magic that connects him to her life forces… As for her hair: its lack of growth is due to the life forces that are being drained by zombie mountain!
      *ducks*

  • Cersei: Will the king and I have children?
Maggy: Oh, aye. Six-and-ten for him, and three for you. Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds, she said. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you.

The Hound is a little brother.

      • The Hound would only have time to pick one of them. I like that he would be selfless enough to go straight for Cersei, bypassing the Mountain, to help Arya with her list. You know he heard Cersei’s name a thousand times on their journey. And he respects Arya.

    • The word “hands” is what persuaded me it won’t be Jaime, also, Tyrion is too anti climatic. The audience would see the Hound running toward the pair expecting him to go for his brother. If Cersei dies then the Mountain would also be freed by him.
Cerseis last words will be “little brother”.

  • Ah, yes, true retribution would be The Hound killing The Mountain with fire…the fire he is terrified of since his brother burned him as a child. To then burn his brother to death would bring this arc full circle.

  • Jaime is the valonquar. He will kill her just like he killed the Mad King Arys, and for the same reason.- she is gonna go mad and try to burn kings landing down rather than surrender to Dany.

  • Didn’t the Mountain kill Dany’s mother? Then publicly confess to her rape and murder? So yeah – he’s Drogon’s dinner at some point.

  • D & D must be pissed off when they see all these pics/spoilers. I don’t remember seeing so many spoilers in the past

  • While it was unclear how much religion the Hound took to during his time with the group that worshiped the seven, he might be mad at Cersei for destroying almost everyone important in that religion. Add that to his list of reasons also.

    • And she did it with wildfire, which Sandor fears and detests so much that exposure to it at the Battle of the Blackwater caused him to snap mentally and flee his service to Joffrey. That’s not going to endear Cersei to him either.

Mostly, though, Sandor needs to let the Stark sisters know how Baelish betrayed their father. That’s his main story function going forward. If he gets a spectacular self-sacrificial death as well, that’ll just be gravy.

  • I wonder if it’s a coincidence that in “the Bear and the Maiden Fair” Brianne is almost mauled by a bear, and Tormund has a reputation for bedding them, and is so infatuated with her.
Adding a joking element of magic to this scenario: Mormont females are said to turn into bears and mate as them to produce children. Lyanna being the daughter of Tormund is ridiculous but makes me happy that she could one day be calling Brianne her step mother! Step mother to a bear.

  • I am more excited to see Arya meeting The Hound and Gendry again. The whole Cleganebowl thing : I would understand the hype if The Mountain was not a zombie, but a real person .

    • The Hound helping his “brother” by freeing him from Cersei feels better. It’s shows the he is a truly heroic, changed, faithful figure. Besides, the Mountain is no longer his brother, but an abomination of him, like you said!

  • Noticed there are not many female characters around, if we can assume these scenes occur in 7×07.

Women: Daenerys, Brienne, Missandei and probably Cersei. Where are Sansa, Arya, Melisandre, Asha, Olenna, Ellaria, Gilly, Lyanna, Meera and Sand Snakes? Think many of them will be dead/away!

Men: Jaime, Tyrion, Jorah, Sandor, Gregor, Qyburn, Pod, Davos, Jon, Gendry, Varys, Theon, Grey Worm, Euron. Missing/away/dead: Sam, Petyr, Bran, Tormund

Looks like last season was the one for women on top. This series we will see mainly warriors and fighters survive. Sad times for the more non-combative characters!

  • I thought it had been said that “valonqar” is gender neutral in High Valyrian? If that’s the case, it could also be a little sister. Who knows which way the show will take it though, since the prophecy didn’t include that part in the show.

    • If Cersei and Jaime are the mad kings children then Daenerys is her little sister. She has both hands.

  • Are they using both locations for the Dragonpit after all? That aerial image is of the Teatro romano while the set carpentry images we’ve seen them working on are at the Anfiteatro that is a km away.

  • On the pic with Rory McCann and Iain Glen the third guy, all in black, looks very much to me like Tobias Menzies. Could it be him? I could imagine Edmure representing the Riverlands after he is finally free from the Freys’ duengeon. Or maybe Jaime would bring him as a Lannister’s hostage.
