We’ve got a couple of quick news hits for you. First up: showrunner David Benioff, seen above with wife Amanda Peet, spoke to a reporter while on the red carpet at this past weekend’s Screen Actors Guild Awards. Naturally, she asked him about what’s coming in Game of Thrones Season 7, and while he didn’t reveal anything specific (he’s got a lot of practice with that by now), he did ruminate about producing a season without any official source material from George R.R. Martin.

“George Martin wrote such beautiful characters and created such an immersive world that at this point if we weren’t able to stand on our own, we wouldn’t really deserve the job.” Fans can be the judge of that when Season 7 premieres this summer.

Across the ocean, Game of Thrones actors continue to be spotted in Belfast, where the production is filming the last of the Season 7 material at Titanic Studios. The latest cast member to take a selfie with a fan in the area is Kristofer Hivju, aka Tormund Giantsbane.

For info on the other cast members in the area, and what they may be filming behind closed doors, head here.

Shooting on Season 7 will continue through the end of this month, after which we can hopefully expect a trailer.
