The Arizona Diamondbacks and Detroit Tigers will host Game of Thrones theme nights this summer

This summer, America’s greatest pastime is combining forces with its greatest cultural obsession, by which I mean there are going to be a bunch of Game of Thrones theme nights at baseball stadiums. We already wrote about some of the events coming to Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago this July. (The Iron Throne! Bobbleheads!)

Now, other teams are releasing info. For example, Click On Detroit reports that fans who attend the Tigers’ Game of Thrones theme night at Comerica Park stand a chance to win…a bobblehead of right fielder J.D. Martinez sitting on the Iron Throne.

There’s just no separating baseball and bobbleheads. You can get tickets to the Tigers event here.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Diamondbacks are hosting their own Game of Thrones theme night at Chase Field on July 7, according to AZ Central. (For your edification, the season 7 premiere is on July 16, so all of these are happening right around the time interest will be at a fever pitch.) This one will include “in-game integrations and promotions”…and a bobblehead. Of course there’s a bobblehead.

In this case, it’s Diamondbacks starting pitcher Taijuan Walker as a White Walker. You can get one by buying this special ticket package, which also includes a baseline reserve ticket.

On top of all that, New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard will have a cameo in Game of Thrones season 7 as a Lannister general, so the show is really embracing this MLB partnership will all its might.
