Comic-Con 2015: Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez Join Peter Capaldi in Voicing LEGO Dimensions!
By Barry Rice
The pre-Comic-Con 2015 Doctor Who/LEGO Dimensions bombshells just keep dropping! Yesterday, LEGO announced on Twitter that current Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi will be voicing the Twelfth Doctor in the upcoming video game, LEGO Dimensions (along with this sweet picture of Capaldi holding a TARDIS minifig):
Now, Entertainment Weekly has revealed that co-stars Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez will also lend their voices to the game, as their Doctor Who characters Clara Oswald and Missy, respectively. Mark Warburton, an associate producer on LEGO Dimensions, added:
"“We love these characters and these worlds, so we take great pleasure in imagining how they will interact.”"
As if that wasn’t enough, EW also included this insane photo of LEGO Capaldi riding a dinosaur(!):
So not only will we see the Twelfth Doctor interacting with characters from franchises like The Simpsons and Back to the Future, we’ll have LEGO versions of Clara and Missy to play around with, as well — all voiced by their original Doctor Who actors! It’s even possible the dinosaur in that photo is from Jurassic World, as it’s another license featured in LEGO Dimensions.

LEGO teased Doctor Who fans even further on Twitter by promising we would find a lot to love in the upcoming game:

Visitors to the San Diego Comic-Con also have the opportunity to be among the first to play LEGO Dimensions. The game will be in the Legends Ballroom at San Diego’s Hard Rock Hotel from 3:00-7:00 PM Thursday through Saturday, and 10:00 AM-2:00 PM on Sunday.
In addition to getting to play the game itself, you’ll be able to pick up a limited edition LEGO Dimensions poster, featuring Doctor Who and Portal, check out some custom LEGO displays from brick artist Nathan Sawaya, take a photo with LEGO Scooby-Doo and LEGO Gandalf, and if you pre-order LEGO Dimensions at the event, you’ll receive an exclusive t-shirt!
There will also be special guests each day, including the aforementioned Nathan Sawaya, Back to the Future creator Bob Gale, and other “surprise guests.” Could Peter Capaldi and his Doctor Who co-stars be stopping by one of those days?
LEGO has also been teasing that more details on LEGO Dimensions will be released tomorrow, July 8. Hopefully this includes some footage of LEGO Doctor Who in action!
LEGO Dimensions will be released on September 27 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and Wii U. Keep your browser pointed here and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest updates!
