Comic-Con 2015: John Barrowman Sings the Doctor Who Theme Song!

One of the wildest and funniest panels at Comic-Con the last few years has been the one featuring former Doctor Who and Torchwood star John Barrowman. By all accounts, this year was no exception.

At his Saturday panel titled “John Barrowman: Anything Goes,” Barrowman entertained the crowd with songs, dancing, blooper reels, and all manner of behind-the-scenes tales.

The highlight of the day, though, had to be when Barrowman teamed up with an audience member to “sing” the Doctor Who theme:

More from Winter is Coming

Now, that’s some impressive range! Barrowman talked a lot about his current role on Arrow, saying his co-star Stephen Amell is “funny as frak, and the more he laughs the funnier he gets.” He also said his Arrow character, Malcolm Merlin would make a terrible Doctor Who companion, which pretty much goes without saying.

Barrowman touched a little on Torchwood; speaking about the finale of Miracle Day, he quipped:

"“There’s me in front of this giant vagina wall, and that’s something you won’t usually hear me say.”"

If you’ve seen Miracle Day, you likely know what he’s referring to (and why it’s hilarious). Barrowman was asked by an audience member who the better kisser was, Christopher Eccleston or David Tennant, to which Barrowman cheekily replied: “David Ten-Inch.”

It wasn’t all jokes, though; at one point, Barrowman let loose this inspirational bit of advice: “I’m a geek. I’m a nerd. Be proud of that — we rule the world!” Truer words were never spoken.

It sounds like Barrowman once again gave a helluva show, and indeed, he seemed to be having a blast the entire day. Earlier he was spotted playing beer pong and posing for photos with his Arrow castmates Willa Holland and Emily Bett Rickards:

Next up for Barrowman is the fourth season of Arrow, premiering this October, and Torchwood: The Conspiracy for Big Finish, out the month prior in September.
