This fall, Britain’s venerable television/radio magazine Radio Times will host their very own star-studded celebration of all things television, radio, and books. Not surprisingly, Doctor Who will feature prominently at the inaugural event, with appearances from no less than Peter Capaldi, Steven Moffat, and Russell T. Davies!

The Radio Times Festival will run September 24-27 2015 at the Green at Hampton Court Palace in London. More than 70 panels and talks are scheduled throughout the four-day event, but Friday, September 25 will be of special interest to Doctor Who fans. Officially dubbed “Doctor Who Day” by organizers, there are three amazing Doctor Who panels planned, with separate tickets required for each. From the event website:

"Doctor Who – Peter Capaldi 14:30 – 15:30Doctor Who holds a unique place in British popular culture. You’ll need a ticket for at least one event in order to access the festival grounds, but at those prices you’d be crazy not to attend all three. If that’s not enough for you, there are also panels featuring Sir David Attenborough, Peaky Blinder‘s Cillian Murphy, Call the Midwife‘s Jenny Agutter and Emerald Fennell, Shaun the Sheep, Alex Jones and other Strictly Come Dancing alums, EastEnders‘ Danny Dyer and Natalie Cassidy, Thomas the Tank Engine, and many, many more.

There will also be a number of free events (though tickets are still required), a Food Village with gourmet street stalls and bars, and a Waterstones book tent with special signing events throughout the festival.

Looks like a blast; this American writer is wishing even more he were in the UK — at least for one weekend. The Doctor Who panels come less than a week after the Series 9 premiere on September 19, so Capaldi, Moffat, and Minchin are sure to have plenty of juicy information to share.
