Physical version of Telltale’s Game of Thrones videogame series coming

Most of those who wanted to play Telltale’s Game of Thrones adventure game have already done so, either through Steam or via the online stores on your preferred console. But if you’re still waiting for a physical release to purchase with your own two hands, you’re in luck: both Xbox and PlayStation fan sites are reporting that a retail version of the game, all six episodes, will be available in November.

Specifically, you’ll be able to lay hands on the complete first season of the game on November 17th for $29.99—the extra $5 is for the box, presumably. (The digital version of the full first season is $24.99, although it’s been on sale for $15 before.) If you’ve been holding out for this, then worry no more. And if you have a Game of Thrones fan in your life who hasn’t been able to play it yet, then this will make an excellent holiday gift purchase.

There’s a bit more we can glean from this piece of news: the final episode of the season (five out of six have been released so far) would have to be released for the box copy to be a complete season. That means that the final episode should be available digitally in October, or ideally September. That’s great, because how much longer are we expected to wait to see this cliffhanger through? There’s no word on a box copy for PC yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of those is also on the way.
