Girona Set Rumored to be Braavosi Marketplace

With Girona reportedly standing in for both Braavos and King’s Landing in Season 6, it’s been difficult to ascertain which parts of the city are standing in for what. Looking at the load in pictures from yesterday, our first instinct was to mark most of the sets as Braavosi, and if rumors are to be believed, that is in fact what they are setting up for first.

Local outlet El Punt Avui seems to confirm this rumor in their latest article on the Game of Thrones takeover of the city.

 L‘esplanada de davant dels Banys Àrabs, al carrer Ferran el Catòlic, serà el mercat de la ciutat de Braavos.

(Translated: The large area in front of the Arab Baths, King Ferdinand Street, will be the market town of Braavos.)

The last time we saw a Braavosi market, Arya was abandoning her mission to take the life of the Thin Man to chase after one of those names in her zen koan of death.
