Two Videos Show Footage of Game of Thrones Set Up In Girona
By Ani Bundel
Yesterday, we learned that one of the first areas the production is setting up to film in is a Braavosi marketplace. Now, TVGirona has brought us video footage of the area and the current set up.
Note that the video focuses just as much on the tourist uptick that came with the production as it does on the actual set up itself. As the (loosely translated) blurb along with the video notes:
Continue preparations for the filming of Game of Thrones that should start next week. Meanwhile, King Ferdinand Street, where the Arab Baths, has become a new tourist attraction and anyone who is there uses their phone camera to capture the atmosphere.
Another video from the local news emphasizes the impact on local businesses, as well as the set up.

We’ve also got new pictures that show off the Braavosi flair of the area. Fresh fish anyone?
Mmm, prop fish. I suppose that’s only slightly less appetizing than oysters, clams and cockles.
I love that second under the archway shot.
These are photos of the new areas that begin closing today.

A close up of one of the market place areas.
Diari de Girona has another large photo gallery of the set up. Some of the shots are very interesting.
This one amuses the heck out of me, because Game of Thrones prides itself on being realistically down and dirty. But first! Clean all the load in areas!
A nice overview of the market being setting up in the square. Check out their entire collection of photos at Diari de Girona.
