Doctor Who: New Photos and Clip from ‘The Witch’s Familiar’
By Barry Rice
Only three more days until the second part of Doctor Who‘s Series 9 premiere arrives, hopefully bringing with it a lot of answers. The BBC has released a new gallery of promotional photos from ‘The Witch’s Familiar,’ along with a 30-second clip from the episode that features a very angry Twelfth Doctor.

Here’s the official synopsis for this week’s installment:
"Trapped and alone in a terrifying Dalek city, the Doctor is at the heart of an evil Empire: no sonic, no TARDIS, nobody to help. With his greatest temptation before him, can the Doctor resist? And will there be mercy?"
And here’s the spoilery description Steven Moffat gave to Radio Times:
"There are places the Doctor should never go. Planets where his life would not be worth an hour’s purchase. When he finds himself in the very worst of these, without his Tardis, or his sonic, and with his best friends murdered in front of his eyes, he has only his wits to keep him alive. And perhaps something else. What is the Doctor’s confession? Why did he really leave Gallifrey all those centuries ago? And is it a secret he is willing to give up?"

Lastly, here’s a new short clip the BBC has released from ‘The Witch’s Familiar.’ It features the Doctor confronting Davros… and it doesn’t seem that the Doctor has taken the deaths of Missy and Clara very lightly, to say the least:
