It’s been a long week, but it’s finally here — the conclusion of
Doctor Who
‘s two-part ninth series premiere. When last we left the Doctor in ‘The Magician’s Apprentice,’ Clara and Missy were apparently dead, and the TARDIS was destroyed. The Doctor was left alone and helpless on Skaro, the home planet of the Daleks, face-to-face with their dying creator, Davros. Then we returned to the opening scene of the young Davros, trapped alone in a field of hand mines, and suddenly the Doctor was back — but this time he brought along a Dalek gunstick! Check out our

This week, we’ll (hopefully) get the answers to all those cliffhangers: will the Doctor save Davros? Are Clara and Missy really dead (not likely)? Whatever he chooses to do, what will be the ultimate ramifications of the Doctor’s actions? After a killer opening episode last week, ‘The Witch’s Familiar’ has a lot to live up to.
