With this week’s new episode of Doctor Who, we’ll see the conclusion of the underwater story started last week in Toby Whithouse’s ‘Under the Lake.’ Whithouse wrote this second-part as well, which takes the Doctor back in time to uncover the secrets of the alien spaceship and the mysterious ghosts. Now, the BBC have released a batch of promotional images for this week’s episode, ‘Before the Flood.’

It’s nothing compared to last week’s massive image dump for ‘Under the Lake,’ but considering these are mostly the same characters, it’s a bit understandable that we’d get fewer pics this week. We do get new images of the terrifying Fisher King, as well as returning characters Cass, Lunn, Bennett, and O’Donnell. We also get our first good look at the still-breathing Tivolian Prentis, who we met last week in ghost form.
Here’s the official synopsis for ‘Before the Flood’:
"On a remote Army outpost, a fearsome alien warlord – the Fisher King – sets in motion a twisted plan to ensure his own survival. The ripples will be felt around the universe. Is this chain of events inevitable? And can the Doctor do the unthinkable?"
