Hilarity Pile: MMA Fighter Ronda Rousey threatens Ken Jeong for spoiling Game of Thrones

There’s little worse than having a show or book or movie you’ve been dying to see spoiled for you by someone who doesn’t know how to keep their mouth shut. This is especially true of a plot-heavy show like Game of Thrones, where even small plot points can come as big shocks if revealed ahead of their time, and many an argument has been started after someone says a bit too much. Usually, it’s hard to take those arguments too seriously, but if the person getting spoiled is a mixed martial arts champion who knocked her last opponent out within 34 seconds of the fight beginning, things could get more serious.

Exactly that happened during a recent interview on ESPN’s Sportscenter—Rousey confronted former physician/current comedian Ken Jeong (The Hangover, Community) about a time he spoiled Jon Snow’s death in the fifth season of the show for her. Rousey is only partway through reading A Storm of Swords at the moment, so she did not take that reveal lightly.

Incidentally, Rousey is a huge nerd when not in the ring, and has demonstrated a deep knowledge of Pokémon and an affinity for World of Warcraft. It makes sense that she’d be a Game of Thrones fan. She’s also had some acting experience, so a cameo on the show isn’t the most ridiculous idea in the world. She might have made a good Sand Snake.

In other news, Lionsgate recently released the first trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, a retelling a Jane Austen’s classic with a few fairly noticeable alterations. Although there’s unfortunately no sign of them in the trailer, the movie will star both Lena Headey (Cersei) and Charles Dance (Tywin), reuniting father and daughter in what was probably the last place they ever expected to meet again.
