After bureaucratic delays, red tape and inspections, we are happy to report that the Tully homestead is being allowed to stand tall, the Lannisters have returned from wherever they took a weekend’s vacation, and all is once again in readiness in Banbridge for Game of Thrones Season 6 to return to the Riverlands. Let the siege commence.

Irish S6 location Corbet-Banbridge. Road in view of set is now 'completely' closed, even for locals,whom we'd imagine are not too happy. (2)

I imagine that, after some of the leaks this season, the Game of Thrones production isn’t taking any chances on anything that it wants to keep at least semi-secret, although we should point out that, unlike the scenes filmed at Saintfield, the siege at Riverrun is not a complete mystery. Unlike the Dornish Detour he and Bronn took last season, Jaime is covering some of his book material here. Still, can’t be too careful. And the truth is, we don’t know if the show is planning to follow this plot to the letter at all.
S6 Irish location, Corbet, Ireland. Contrary to online reports we must stress outdoor scenes 'weren't' filmed this wk at all!! Mon for that!

I wouldn’t be surprised if what was filmed this past week were in fact the “indoor” scenes for Riverrun, due to the red tape delays in filming out of doors.
@Absnthminded yep,it makes a lot.Filming 100% starts Mon for 1st time,at last!,that much we know w/ absolute certainty,being locals.We know!

Hopefully enterprising fans will find ways around the blockage (perhaps a few more overhead drone pics, guys?), and we’ll soon see what’s going on.
CAUTION: POSSIBLE SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT
Also, in news labeled “hmmm,” actress Nell Tiger Free (Myrcella Baratheon) posted an interesting picture of herself to her Instagram account. It shows the actress walking into her trailer on the Game of Thrones set, or at least that’s what it looks like.
Free posted this picture yesterday. Last we saw Myrcella, she looked quite dead, having been poisoned by Ellaria Sand and the Sand Snakes right before leaving Dorne. If Free is back on set, it could mean a few different things:
- She’s on set to film her funeral scene, similar to how Charles Dance made a cameo as a dead Tywin Lannister in the Season 5 premiere.
- She survived her poisoning and will have new material in Season 6. We should point out that, in the books, Myrcella walks away from her stay in Dorne injured but alive, so far as we know.
- This is an old picture that Free is just posting for fun.
My money’s on choice # 1.
