Doctor Who Preview/Synopsis: ‘The Woman Who Lived’

More from Doctor Who

We’re a day late this week but with several hours to go, there’s still time to look ahead and prepare for what’s to come on tonight’s new episode of Doctor Who. Last week, the Doctor and Clara teamed up with a village of Vikings to fend off an alien incursion, but ended up causing the death of a young girl named Ashildr (played by Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams). The Doctor made the controversial decision to bring her back to life, but the technology used to do so worked so well that she was actually made immortal.

This week, the Doctor will bump into Ashildr again — only it’s several hundred years later. She’s now a feared highwayman called The Nightmare, and the Doctor will have to come face-to-face with the consequences of his actions.
