And the most popular Game of Thrones Halloween costume is…

…Matt as a White Walker. I’m not sure much explanation is necessary.

Matt took the lion’s share of the vote, and will be winning a hardcover copy of Game of Thrones: The Noble Houses of Westeros: Seasons 1-5. Congratulations, Matt! I’d say you earned it. Anybody interested in how Matt put together his costume should check out his step-by-step instructions. Somehow, the White Walker bodysuit looks even creepier when hanging on a wall.

Congratulations are also in order for Avery and friends, who went as the Sons of the Harpy, and brother-sister team Kai and Lola, who went as Jon Snow and Ghost (complete with severed hand). You guys will be winning a miniature model Longclaw and a Three-Eyed Raven figurine respectively.

And really, thanks so much to everyone who participated! We were bowled over by your creativity and passion. We’ll never feel right about pulling out that boring old pirate costume again—it’s incredibly elaborate Game of Thrones outfit or bust.

See you this time next year, when the costume of choice will probably be a fan favorite character none of us have even heard of yet, since we don’t really know what’s coming in Season 6. Oh, what a Halloween it’ll be!
