Cast members play with pigs, show off intriguing haircuts, bum around Belfast

Let’s start with the obvious: the above picture depicts several Game of Thrones cast members holding miniature pigs. From left to right, we’ve got Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy), Natalia Tena (Osha), Miltos Yerolemou (Syrio Forel), Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell), and Jessica Henwick (Nymeria Sand).
They were together for a Mindshare Huddle event, and while we’re not certain where the pigs came into it, they did make for some delightful photo opportunities. Here’s a close-up of Jones:
Fans have noted that the actor’s hair is quite a bit shorter that it was when we last saw Loras in Season 5, at his trial.
There are a few possible explanations for this that I can think of:
- The simple explanation: Finn Jones is done filming material for Season 6 and decided to cut his hair.
- The conspiracy explanation: Last we saw Loras, he and his sister were being held prisoners by the Sparrows. We have some idea of what will happen to Margaery, but know little to nothing about Loras. Jones new haircut is short, not unlike the short dos sported by the Sparrows. Might Loras have joined their ranks, or had his head forcibly shaved a la Cersei in “Mother’s Mercy?”
- The panic explanation: Loras is dead so Jones is free to cut his hair! Game over, man! Game over!
My money’s on explanation #1, but there’s no way to know for sure. And now: more pics of pigs.
That’s Thronecast host Jamie East with Tena. And here’s the group sans pigs:
Elsewhere, filming continues at Titanic Studios in Belfast.
The above pic comes courtesy of new Dothraki cast member Andrei Claude—reports suggest that there’s a biggish scene involving the Dothraki being filmed in Belfast now, so that makes sense. Claude’s Dothraki brothers have also been seen hanging out in the area. Here’s Joe Naufahu, Diogo Sales, and Elie Haddad (aka the actor who posted a page from a Season 6 script to Instagram) hitting a pub.
The Dothraki aren’t the only people walking around Belfast. Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy) was also spotted, so it seems there’s Greyjoy filming afoot.
