King’s Landing filming continues, according to Eugene “Lancel Lannister” Simon’s filthy feet

Game of Thrones actor Eugene Simon tweets a pic of his dirty feet after a day of filming Season 6.

Okay yes, we’re reporting on an actor tweeting a picture of his filthy feet…this is happening. But, when that actor is Eugene Simon, who portrays religious fanatic Brother Lancel, formerly of House Lannister, then the picture is newsworthy…arguably.

Why would Simon tweet a picture of his filthy feet? Well, if you remember from last season, Lancel is now a part of the Faith Militant, a militant branch of the Faith of the Seven. Last season, he and his newly-found fanatical brothers enjoyed a barefoot romp through King’s Landing, kicking over casks of wine, shaming prostitutes just looking to make an honest living, and stripping men who frequent brothels and whipping them through the streets. Now, it looks like more barefoot adventures may be in order. What’s not to love, right?

As you can plainly see, Simon’s feet, while indeed filthy, are perfectly manicured. I’m not buying that you’re a pious son of the Warrior, Eugene, or else you’d have claws for toenails and the bottoms of your feet would sport a hard black exterior.

On a serious note, this photo means that Simon is still filming scenes in King’s Landing as a member of the Faith Militant, and his feet are part of the costumed facade. I wonder if Lancel will be wrecking more of the city, or perhaps even facing off against another Game of Thrones character in, oh, a trial by combat? Thanks to a new promotional image from HBO, we know we will find out in April.
