The Mets Parody the Season 6 Teaser, Family Guy Parodies Cersei’s Walk of Shame

It’s been a day since HBO gifted its fans with a teaser poster for Game of Thrones Season 6, featuring the much-lamented Jon Snow. We’ve looked at it ad nauseam since then, but one more time can’t hurt.

As one might imagine, the poster has been reworked many times since it debuted. One of the higher-profile parodies was made by the New York Mets, which subbed in pitcher Matt Harvey in place of Jon Snow…and I guess it works?

The Song of Ice and Fire subreddit went bonkers when the poster hit. In one thread, Redditor corporaldbag asked for help photoshopping the poster so it was Stannis bleeding from the eye rather than Jon, and fellow Redditor pluttor helped him out. I’ve done a side-by-side comparison of the two: you decide which you prefer.

Finally, Family Guy parodied Cersei Lannister’s Walk of Shame from Game of Thrones Season 5. You remember the one, right? How could anyone forget Cersei’s head creepily bobbing up and down as it was added to a double’s naked body in post-production? I still have nightmares about that scene, and it has nothing to do with the loads of garbage and human feces thrown at her.

Anyway, Game of Thrones turns up in this cutaway gag from the latest episode of Family Guy, “Hot-Pocket Dial,” which aired on November 22. As you can see, Quagmire is Cersei, and Peter is Septa Unella. This is fun.

And just in case that video gets taken down, a pic:

That’s it for now. I’m sure more interesting and oddball Game of Thrones things will pop up…boy, April sure seems like a long time to wait for more Game of Thrones, huh?
