For fans of Classic Who and animation alike, there is a Change.org petition titled “Doctor Who Missing Episodes to be animated for DVD release!” Here is an excerpt from the text:
"There are a lot of Doctor Who stories that have not yet been released on DVD which parts of them do remain, like ‘The Crusade’ which shares the same story as ‘The Underwater Menace’ both are 4 parter stories which they have 2 missing episodes and 2 remaining episodes. So why can’t the BBC animate these episodes? We haven’t got an answer yet, but we want to have these classics to watch in the comfort of our homes! If you’re interested please do sign this petition so we can get the message out to the BBC!"
As of the writing of this article, the petition has 1,030 supporters.
The wickedly crude and fantastically fun card game Cards Against Humanity now has a fan-created edition called Cards Against Gallifrey. According to io9.com:
"Because Cards Against Humanity is published under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike, anyone can make their own cards for the game, provided they publish them under the same license and don’t sell them. The comedy group Conventional Improv performs a game show based on Cards Against Humanity at different conventions, and this fall, in honor of the Doctor Who 50th anniversary, they played Cards Against Gallifrey and have made their version of the game available to the public."
You can view the Cards Against Gallifrey cards on imgur.com. I am really tempted to share the best ones here, but they would probably violate the publishing standards of our site. Anyway, you can download the deck at dropcanvas.com.

Many Whovians enjoy seeing classic monsters make current appearances on
Doctor Who
. This is mostly fine and good, as long as any one particular monster is not overused. Many have been resurrected, the most utilized being Daleks, Cybermen, and Zygons. There are bound to be more coming up in future episodes, but which ones? Peter Capaldi has given his two cents about the classic monsters which he would like to see his Doctor encounter. These include
