Former Doctor Who stars Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman were seen together at a party prior to the BAFTA Awards. What does this mean?
There is no denying the chemistry that Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman had during their one season together on Doctor Who. Almost from the beginning, the pair meshed well together, helping to make Smith’s final season as the Doctor truly interesting. Unfortunately, as Coleman remained with the show and Smith moved on to other projects, they were unable to spend more time together.
That changed on Friday night, as Coleman and Smith were able to catch up prior to the BAFTA Awards. As one can see by the photographs in the linked article, they were able to pick up where they left off, cuddling up to one another as they reconnected.
Naturally, with Smith and Coleman being seen together, the questions will begin. Are they getting together for a Big Finish production? Are they dating? What does this mean in the Whoniverse? Not even the TARDIS is large enough to contain the sheer number of possibilities that could be inferred from these photos.

But you want to know what these pictures likely mean? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. It’s the point in time in the calender year where most news pertaining to Doctor Who is just a collection of sites rehashing the same stories from the past couple of weeks, as though the fifteenth article on how Chris Chibnall will honor the legacy of the show is anything but redundant. Ah well, at least they aren’t rewriting the same article, like this Royals writer did.
Again, nothing is happening. What we have here are photographs of two colleagues catching up with one another. Maybe they are getting a bit cozy, but that happens. After all, if Matt Smith wants to cuddle, who would turn him down?
