Good news, everyone (well, some people)! Doctor Who Series 1-8 will return to Amazon Prime Video, their online streaming service, beginning in March. Click here for the sizzle reel. Here is the official tweet from Amazon Adviser:
So, if you are a subscriber of Amazon Prime, bully for you! As for the rest of us, we will continue to wander the interwebs like lost children, scrounging for other ways to watch our beloved show. And what of Classic Who? I am still holding out hope for Netflix and Hulu to regain the rights to both soon.
With everyone wondering who the Doctor’s next companion will be, according to Radio Times, Joivan Wade (Rigsy) has stated that he wants to be a companion one day.
"“In the future, you never know,” said Wade, when asked whether he’d be willing to accompany the Doctor on upcoming adventures. “To play a Doctor Who companion is definitely a dream. Never say never and let’s see what happens. But yes, I love Doctor Who.”"

While Peter Capaldi has said that he does not want his Doctor to have a male companion, this does not rule out Rigsy teaming up long term with a future Doctor. It also does not rule out the possibility of Capaldi being overruled. Either way, Rigsy would be a fine choice.
And for a dose of feels, Gareth David-Lloyd (Ianto Jones on Torchwood) sometimes visits a shrine that fans had erected in 2009 to his tragically fallen character. As David-Lloyd said to Digital Spy:
"Now and again, I go down to see if anything new has been put up. . . . It’s quite strange – if there are ever any fans there at the same time as I’m there, they’re so invested in the fact that Ianto has gone and that this is a tribute, they don’t even notice I’m there!"
It says a lot about a fictional character when fans continue to pay tribute to him in this manner, year after year. All of the beloved fallen Torchwood Cardiff team members are dearly missed.
