Doctor Who: Timeless Trading Cards to be Released in June

Topps is set to produce their series of Doctor Who trading cards, Timeless, for a release in June. A look at the autograph list is quite impressive.

There is quite a lot out there for a Doctor Who fan to collect. Comic books, action figures, DVDs and other assorted items fill our shelves. Doctor Who related merchandise, either purchased or made, is sitting in our wardrobes and closets. Now, Topps has added trading cards to that list of collectables.

Slated to be released in June, Doctor Who Timeless will have 100 base cards and 50 inserts, along with autographs, costume cards and medallions. With two hits per box, with both hits either being autographs, costume cards or medallions, or a combination thereof, it certainly sounds as though there will be plenty of interesting items available from the set.

The autographs appear as though they will be the prizes of the set. Topps announced that at least 75 different actors have signed, including six former Doctos, highlighted by David Tennant and Tom Baker. Other confirmed signers in the set include Alex Kingston, John Barrowman, Billie Piper and Arthur Darvill, along with quite a few classic companions. Topps has also stated that the autograph list may not be complete, as they hope more signings will be announced in the future.

From what Topps has already been able to confirm, this latest set of Doctor Who trading cards appears as though it may be well worth the money. Being able to have the potential to get an autograph from someone like Tennant, Baker or Barrowman, for the price of a box, is certainly worth the chance.

Topps appears as though it will have a hit on its hands when Doctor Who Timeless is released in June. I know that I’m certainly looking forward to seeing what hits come out of the set.
