After months of speculation, the full cast of the Doctor Who spinoff, Class, has been announced.
It seemed like a matter of time before there would be a spinoff involving Coal Hill School. After all, Coal Hill has been a vital part of Doctor Who since the very beginning when Ian and Barbara followed Susan to the junkyard where the Doctor and the TARDIS were hiding. Interwoven into various episodes and stories, it holds a special place in the history of the program to this day.
As such, when Class was announced, it filled a void that had been in the Whoniverse. We would finally get a look at what it was like at the school from a different viewpoint, getting to see what these invasions are like for the students. The only problem was that very few details had been made available.

Now that filming is expected to begin sometime this month, some of those details are beginning to filter out. BBC Three has announced the cast for Class, with Greg Austin, Fayd Elsayed, Sophie Hopkins and Vivian Oparah as the students, with Katherine Kelly as their teacher and a new presence at Coal Hill School.
While we now know the stars of Class, there are still plenty of other details that we would like to know. It has been stated that new creatures and challenges will be plaguing the students and facility, but what types of creatures will they be? Conflicting reports have been made as to whether or not the Doctor will make an appearance – will we get to see Peter Capaldi on the grounds of Coal Hill again? And will we potentially get to see previous episodes of Doctor Who that took place at the school from the student’s standpoint?
