Doctor Who: Remains of a Companion Found in Mongolia

We all know that the Doctor prefers to travel with attractive females on Doctor Who. While we may not know what she looked like, one of his former companions may have been found.

One of the quirks of the Doctor’s being able to travel through time and space is that one never knows where he is going to be. Hell, even the Doctor doesn’t know where he is going to be at any given point in time. Naturally, that would make finding evidence of the Doctor and his travels difficult to find, should his enemies be in hot pursuit.

However, earlier in the week, such evidence may well have been found here on Planet Earth. As the focal point of a great many adventures of Doctor Who, different locations may well have remains of his travels, or even of those he had left behind. That may well be the case for the mummy found in the Altai Mountains in Mongolia.

More from Doctor Who

Normally, the discovery of the approximately 1500 year old mummy would be interesting just from either a scientific angle or for casual reading. However, this mummy was discovered wearing shoes sporting the three stripe design that is synonymous with Adidas. Could it be that this woman, thought to be a member of the Turkik tribe, was really a companion of the Doctor’s?

After all, all that was found in the grave were the hands and feet of the body. While genetic testing will eventually determine more information about the mummy, and where exactly she came from, her wearing that footwear certainly raises some questions. And if they find a carving that resembles a police box in her grave, that will just confirm those time travelling suspicions.

No one knows where the Doctor will appear, but he leaves traces of his actions behind. In this case, he may well have left more than just a trace – he may have left a part of himself.
