Doctor Who can truly get into one’s blood, where a person will keep returning to the show in any way that they can. For Paul Marc Davis, that includes appearing on any spinoff he can.
In the world of Doctor Who, there have been quite a few actors that have appeared in different roles. Such stars as Peter Capaldi, Karen Gillan, and Mark Gatiss, amongst others, have appeared in several different roles. Capaldi has even appeared in Torchwood, showing that even the spinoffs can be an attractive way to remain in the Whoniverse.
For Paul Marc Davis, it seems that he also cannot get enough of being involved in Doctor Who in any way possible. An alum not only of that show, but also of Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Adventures, Davis will also be joining the new spinoff, Class, in a yet to be specified role.

This will make Davis the first actor to appear in all three of the spinoffs, as well as Doctor Who, quite the accomplishment for anyone who has been a part of the Whoniverse. Based on his appearances, it may not be a surprise if Davis ends up having a role in the upcoming Big Finish spinoffs, such as UNIT, as well.
Even though his role is not determined, or at least made public yet, we may even be able to extrapolate what type of role Davis will have. Having been the cast as a member of the Futurekind known as the Chieftain, who ate humans, on Doctor Who, and as the Trickster on both Torchwood and Sarah Jane, Davis may well find himself in yet another villainous, or monstrous, role for Class.
