Game of Thrones Episode 602–”Home”–Free Chat
By Dan Selcke
“Home,” the bluntly titled second episode of Game of Thrones Season 6, airs tonight. Here’s the where and the when and the how:
- Start Time: May 1, 2016, 9 p.m. EST
- TV Info: HBO
- Episode: Season 6, Episode 2, “Home”
- Writer: Dave Hill
- Director: Jeremy Podeswa
- Run time: 54 minutes
Note that this episode is four minutes longer than “The Red Woman,” which was the shortest episode of the year. It’s all plus-sized episodes from here on out! (Or at least not bite-sized.)
“Home” will reacquaint us with characters not seen in years. Check out HBO’s official description:
"Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) trains with the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow). In King’s Landing, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) advises Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman). Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) demands good news, but has to make his own. At Castle Black, the Night’s Watch stands behind Thorne (Owen Teale). Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) proposes a plan, and Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide) entertains other proposals."
The buzz is that this episode will have some surprises in store. I mean, considering what producers and actors have said, it sounds like every episode this season will have surprises in store. We don’t know exactly what we’re in for this year, but I’m pretty sure we won’t be bored.
The official images released ahead of the episode don’t tell us much—there are a lot of profile shots of current and returning characters—but there are a couple more dynamic ones. For example:
What do you hope will happen to our characters in “Home?” What do you dread? Talk about anything and everything having to do with “Home” here, both before and during the actual program.
We’ll have recaps up shortly after the episode ends, and features spotlighting different aspects of it throughout the week. It’s good to be back in the thick of a new Game of Thrones season.
