Game of Thrones Screencap Breakdown: “Book of the Stranger”
By Ani Bundel
It should be noted that Cersei was never brought before the High Sparrow like this, proof they didn’t need her the way they need Margaery.
And Margaery has caught on to the fact that they need her, and is trying to use their “torture” against them but reciting their holy book when she needs to impress them.
Most people have shown the image of Margaery trying to buck Loras up, but this image of him lying like a dead man on the floor, not even trying to protect himself was, to me, the most striking of all the shots from that scene. He really just wants it to end.
…shuffle…shuffle…shuffle…Julian Glover make an entire meal out of a walk across a room.
I love the lighting in this shot. Tommen tries to keep his mother from going after his new friend, the High Sparrow, but she’s not having it.
This shot is great: Kevan and Olenna sit down as Jaime and Cersei win the battle to be heard by the part of the Small Council that matters. Love it.
It’s a lot of brother-and-sister tag-teaming in this section of the show: Sansa and Jon, Margaery and Loras, Cersei and Jaime, and now Yara and Theon.
While Osha totally underestimates Ramsay. Totally.
