“Blood of My Blood,” the sixth episode of Game of Thrones propulsive sixth season, airs tonight. Here’s where and when and how to watch it.

  • Start Time: May 29, 2016, 9 p.m. EST
  • TV Info: HBO
  • Episode: Season 6, Episode 6, “Blood of My Blood”
  • Writers: Bryan Cogman
  • Director: Jack Bender
  • Run time: 52 minutes
  • Live Stream: Stream 1Stream 2

This is the second of two Season 6 episodes directed by Lost veteran Jack Bender, and the first of two written by Game of Thrones staff writer Bryan Cogman. Here’s HBO’s official synopsis:

"An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly (Hannah Murray) meets Sam’s (John Bradley) family. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a difficult choice. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces off against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce)."

Arya’s “difficult choice” almost certainly involves her reluctance to follow the Faceless Men’s orders and kill Lady Crane, and while there are a couple of people HBO could be referring to when it talks about an “old foe,” we’re pretty sure we know who it is.

Bran and Meera aren’t mentioned in the synopsis, but they do show up in the trailer, and it looks like we’ll pick up with them immediately after the heartbreaking finale to last Sunday’s “The Door.”

We’ll also stop by Horn Hill for what will hopefully be the most the awkward family dinner ever filmed, and catch up with Daenerys as she marches her new army towards Meereen, but if HBO’s official images are any indication, we’ll be spending most of our time in King’s Landing, as the Lannisters and the Tyrells square off with the High Sparrow and his followers. (Over half the official images released are from this locale.)

Also: here’s what I assume is a shot-countershot pair:

Still gotta work on that whole hiding-your-emotions thing, Arya.

A final note: Jon, Sansa, Davos, Melisandre, Tormund, Edd, Brienne, and Ramsay are nowhere to be seen in any of the promotional materials. Is the North going to sit this one out?
