Two new roles already being cast for Game of Thrones Season 7

There are still two episodes remaining in Season 6, but thanks to a report from Watchers on the Wall, we already have a bit of casting news for Game of Thrones Season 7.

According to a source at Watchers, two casting calls for Season 7 have already gone out. The first is for a 16-year old Northern girl who will be a part of “a high-stakes scene with leading cast members.” They’re looking for a white girl with a Northern accent. The second is for a 10-year old Northern boy who will take part in the same scene as the girl.

There is no information about who these characters are, but we can speculate a bit. As Watchers suggests, the two could be part of yet another Bran flashback. After all, Lyanna Stark is around that age when she attends the Tourney at Harrenhal, where she was openly courted by the Crown Prince, Rhaegar Targaryen, before being spirited away to the Tower of Joy. The boy could be a young Benjen, although his age doesn’t really match the age Benjen would be at the time.

They could also be new characters, something that’s more and more possible as we venture into completely uncharted territory. The bit about them being in a scene “with leading cast members” also suggests that their characters exist in the present, unless Bran learns how to take other major characters back in time with him.

Perhaps the girl and boy could be the children or grandchildren of Lord Wyman Manderly, whom we have yet to see this season. The young Wylla Manderly gives a rousing speech about loyalty to House Stark in A Dance with Dragons.

Regardless of which characters the casting calls are for, you can be sure that once Season 6 ends, more news like this will begin to pour in…so stay tuned.
