Game of Thrones Screencap Breakdown: “Battle of the Bastards”
By Ani Bundel
Let us set the stage properly. Here we have Team Stark. All of them.
They are a rag-tag group.
Jon Snow steps forward to take his place as their leader.
Here we have Team Bolton, who also brought along live prop versions of their mascot, like this was the Superbowl.
Note the sheer amount of shields they have, and their clean formation lines.
Also the sheer variety of different banners they have.
Ramsay rides out in front of his men. But not to lead the charge.
(I mean, seriously, the smaller number of flags and banners here behind Jon is unmissable.)
For the rest of the shots, Davos and Tormund are staged much farther apart. This is the only shot where they were staged closer together so we could see both of their reactions to Ramsay’s ploy. (Also, Tormund whispers “don’t…” just before Jon falls directly into the trap.)
Oh, hi trap!
Rickon Run, the latest film from Nick Park animations. The only dialogue is the audience screaming, “ZIG ZAG! SERPENTINE PATTERN BOY! RUN IN A ZIG-ZAG!”
Sadly no.
And after all that talk of understanding what Sansa was saying, Jon rides right into Ramsay’s trap.
To be fair, Rickon was already dead. It was just a matter of time before reality caught up with that.
TFMW you realize you’ve been had.
