Which Game of Thrones cast and crew members were snubbed by the Emmys?

Alfie Allen for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama
Somehow, Alfie Allen has yet to be nominated for an Emmy for his work on Game of Thrones. This started to become puzzling after Season 2, when his portrait of a young, bold man in way over his head turned Theon Greyjoy into one of the show’s most fascinating characters. In Seasons 4 and 5, he portrayed a man broken by torture and confinement, but still showed us that the Theon we’d known in the earlier seasons was hidden somewhere inside. In Season 6, he started to combine these two halves, and emerged (again) as a new character. Using his expressive face and thorough understanding of the material, Allen has been compelling in the role every step of the way, and his accomplishment should be acknowledged.
Having said all that, Season 6 wasn’t the best season Allen has had on the show—that would be Seasons 2, 4, or 5. It wasn’t his fault—he just didn’t have quite as much screen time as in earlier years. Still, the Television Academy felt compelled to give Peter Dinklage a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor even though Tyrion Lannister had a relatively low-key year (Dinklage won the award in this category after Seasons 1 and 5). Personally, I think Allen would have been a better choice.
