As always, Game of Thrones cast members are busy and getting up to stuff. Here’s a roundup of what.
First of all, the header photo is of Kit Harington (Jon Snow, as if you had to be told) filming on location with an INFINITI Q60. That’s not much more to it than that, but it’s a snazzy shot, no?
In other news, there’s big stuff ahead for Game of Thrones actor/one-time chart-topping singing sensation (never forget) Jerome Flynn, aka Ser Bronn of the Blackwater. Entertainment Weekly reports that he’ll be appearing in the upcoming third season of Black Mirror, which will land on Netflix on October 21. Black Mirror is a critically acclaimed speculative fiction show that examines the unintended consequences of new technologies, among other sci-fi subjects.
Every episode of Black Mirror has a different cast, making it sort of like a modern-day Twilight Zone. Flynn will headline one of the new episodes, perhaps as a man who has memories from another life when he was a pop star? God, I can’t stop.
There’re rumors in the air about Aiden Gillen (Littlefinger), as well. According to Breaking News, he’s being considered for the lead role in a BBC television adaptation of author John Le Carré’s The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, a Cold War thriller. Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) has a more immediate project on the horizon: he’s starring in Legendary Pictures’ The Great Wall, in which Matt Damon fights monsters near the Great Wall of China. Here’s the trailer:
Pascal pops in around 0:26. The Great Wall will hit theaters on February 17 of next year.
Also, is it just me, or does Matt Damon’s costume remind you of someone?
Finally, Sophie Turner has some interesting ideas about a potential Game of Thrones spinoff. What would happen if the Kardashians showed up in Westeros? Turner has it covered:
We should also point out that Turner broached the idea of a Game of Thrones–Keeping Up With the Kardashians spinoff a while ago, during a group interview at San Diego Comic-Con 2015. She drops the suggestions at 2:03. Apparently it’s been on her mind for a while.
