Robin Arryn

Robin Arryn is in an interesting position. As the rightful heir to the Vale, he’s a very important piece in the game of thrones. The Vale is one of the few remaining areas of Westeros still untouched by the War of the Five Kings. It’s rich in resources and rich in soldiers, and whomever controls Robin, controls it.

At the moment, Littlefinger controls Robin. Littlefinger’s a savvy guy, so I don’t see him loosening his grip anytime soon. Others may well try to pry the kid away from him, though. For example, Bronze Yohn Royce seems none too pleased with Littlefinger’s dominion over the Vale, and may try to use Robin to affect some kind of coup. Sansa, too, is wising up to Littlefinger’s game, and may try to win Robin to her side. If she marries Robin, she’d almost certainly be the power behind the throne, since Robin isn’t one of the show’s great thinkers.

That’s the thing about Robin Arryn: he’s an important piece, but he barely even realizes there’s a game on, much less how to play it. He reminds me a bit of Tommen that way, and I can see him meeting a similar end. I don’t mean that Robin will commit suicide—I mean that he may get caught in the crossfire as savvier players try to maneuver him across the board. It’s a dangerous game, this game of thrones, and once shots are fired, Robin’s cluelessness might just get him killed.

And it goes without saying that he’s hopeless in a fight, so if the White Walkers invade the North in Season 7, look for Robin to be among the first to go.

Chance of survival: 15%.
