Two New Trailers for Class Premiered at New York Comic Con 2016

In two trailers from New York Comic Con, we finally get a good look at footage from the upcoming Doctor Who spin-off, Class.

On the heels of a teaser trailer for Class, and a behind the scenes one for the 2016 Doctor Who Christmas special, we now have two new trailers for Class. They were premiered at this year’s New York Comic Con.

The teaser (longer than the first one) features clips from the show with a narration from the Doctor. The main characters — Sophie Hopkins (April), Fady Elsayed (Ram), Greg Austin (Charlie), Vivian Oparah (Tanya), and Katherine Kelly (Miss Quill) — are shown expressing a range of emotions from apprehensive to fearful.

More from Winter is Coming

He reminds the characters of Class (and the audience) that, despite his amazing abilities, he is not always available to help in times of crisis. Thus, we must learn to take matters into our own hands in order to defend ourselves. He asks,

"What will you do when the Shadows come, when you can’t turn away from the darkness ahead? For time has looked at your faces… and time never forgets."

We also get a much better look at the fiery landscape of which we got a small glimpse in the initial teaser.

The second trailer is full length, and is jam packed with lots of aliens, intrigue, action, humor, and sexiness. In short, it is fracking awesome.

The Doctor even says,

"I used to be the caretaker here. You’ve heard of me, haven’t you?"

Television fans are sure to love the meta references made to Buffy the Vampire Slayer (when mentioning a Hellmouth), Once Upon a Time, and The Vampire Diaries.
