Extras for Game of Thrones Season 7 are trying on their costumes, and loose lips are suggesting ships. Well, shipyards anyway. While all the excitement the last two weeks has been centered around the beaches in Spain’s Basque Country, work also continues at the ruins of Italica. Last time we reported from the location, on October 17th, the historic tourist location had just been closed to the public so the production could have some privacy while it filmed.
Now, Los Siete Reinos has heard some information about what’s happening behind the firewall. Potential SPOILERS ahead!

Oooh, SPOILERS!
We are the GoT squad and we’re coming to town
Beep-beep, beep-beep
First of all, it’s been established that the ruins of Italica are standing in for the Dragonpit in King’s Landing. According to LSR, the extras who showed up to film in Italica found themselves handed various pieces of Lannister armor. We’ve already heard that several major players will film scenes in the Dragonpit, among them Daenerys, Davos, and Brienne. Now it looks like the Lannisters will be there as well. Might they be escorting Jaime or Cersei? We could be looking at a major “meeting of the minds.”

Meanwhile, these same sources say that the Royal Shipyards of Seville (Las Atarazanas) will stand in for the same Westerosi location as the ruins of Italica. Since Italica is standing in for the Dragonpit, that means the shipyards are, too. By the looks of the image above, they might stand in specifically for some subterranean portions of it.
