these violent delights don’t have to end yet, because HBO has renewed Westworld for a second season.

You can’t keep a good host down, HBO has renewed their new hit series Westworld for a second season. This means we are set to get more robotic intrigue, body snatching, and crazy theories!

It was only a matter of time before Westworld got the green light from HBO for a second season. The show has been incredibly popular even while competing against The Walking Dead on Sunday nights.

The only real concern with Westworld is the show’s high production cost, but it’s clear that HBO thinks the cost is worth the gain. HBO won’t be airing a new season of Game of Thrones until this summer and then will only have one more season after that. Westworld is the clear successor to Game of Thrones in HBO’s programming schedule.

HBO has depended on Game of Thrones to bring in viewers, anchor their programming lineup, and help draw in subscribers to HBO Go. There’s no doubt that they hope that Westworld can fill those shoes in the coming years.

The renewal of Westworld was announced on the Westworld Facebook page with this intriguing video.

So the question we have to ask is where will Westworld go after season 1? It’s possible that we will stay in the park and just move into more stories there, but it’s also possible that we may be leaving the park behind. This would mean venturing out into the world and seeing the rest of the future that Westworld is set in.

If we follow along that Ford has bigger plans than just what’s going on in the park then the possibilties really open up. The conflicts and mysteries that could come with hosts being mixed in with the general population are endless.
