If you live on the west coast you won’t be seeing the Westworld finale at the same time as the rest of the country, so avoid social media tonight!

Maybe you live in Oregon, or maybe you just don’t have time to watch TV tonight; whatever the reason, if you won’t be watching Westworld at 8pm EST you should log off the internet.

Spoilers on the internet can be a pain in the neck, especially for people who live on the west coast. If you live in California you’ll see the Westworld season finale several hours after folks out east. Therefore it’s probably best if you log off social media before the show starts on the east coast.

Decent people don’t want to spoil the show for you, but it’s probably unreasonable to expect everyone else to stay quiet until you’ve watched it too. Westworld is a huge phenomenon and has created a tremendous amount of buzz the last few weeks. Everyone on social media is going to be talking about the show, there’s just no getting around that, so if you’re behind everyone else it’s probably best to log off the internet.

You probably won’t go looking for Westworld spoilers, but they may find you anyway. If you’ve subscribed to a Westworld Facebook page those posts are going to pop up in your timeline. It will happen and you will find out things about the show.

Asking everyone else to not talk about a huge hit like Westworld is like asking everyone to not talk about the Super Bowl for two hours, it’s just not going to happen. If you’re on the internet you’re taking matters into your own hands. Don’t hold the rest of the world to an unreasonable standard, set your own course and be master of your own destiny in a way no host can be, just log off.
