32. Jaqen H’ghar

A man may not have a name, but that won’t stop him from killing you. Jaqen H’ghar, played by Tom Wlaschiha, is one of the more mysterious characters on Game of Thrones. A group of assassins who expertly kill and switch faces is a terrifying notion, but Jaqen pulls it off in calm, kind and almost friendly manner.

Although the Jaqen we meet at the House of Black and White in Season 5 may not be the same Faceless Man Arya met in Season 2, he obviously knows that form is comfortable for her. Even though the Waif said he’s not Arya’s friend, a part of us thinks he was. After all, he seemed impressed with a Girl from the get go.

We think his attempts to turn Arya into an assassin would have gone well if she was only able to keep her name. That seemed like a point of contention for the Stark girl, and even a guy with no name can ultimately respect that decision. Jaqen H’ghar, you’re alright. Valar Morghulis.
