17. Lord Ramsay Bolton

Wait, what’s this bastard doing this high up on the list?

Ramsay Bolton (neé Snow) is the epitome of a total and utter bastard. But I’d be lying if I said he wasn’t a bastard we sometimes loved to hate-watch.

The only thing Ramsay loved was violence. Pretty much everything he did or said was bathed in anger and rage. He took great pride in torturing Theon, both psychologically and physically, and was delighted at the prospect of killing Yara’s Ironborn when they stormed the Dreadfort in Season 4. To say he was psychotic would be a massive understatement, because Ramsay was in a classification all his own. Actor Iwan Rheon gave us a wide range of crazy for his character.

All of this made Ramsay somehow we really, really wanted to see go down. I’m not one to advocate violence, but seeing Jon pummel the unholy sh*t out of Ramsay after the Battle of the Bastards, and then his karmic death at the paws of his own starving mutts, were moments to root for.

Ramsay was the North’s canker sore that never actually healed. Good riddance to you, Lord Bolton.
